The G650GS being sold is an ideal motorcycle for beginning riders (it used to be the standard training bicycle at BMW’s rider training center) as well as riders looking for an economic workhorse. It is fully equipped with all cargo accoutrements, and moreover, it scores a 55-80 miles per gallon figure depending on rider weight, cargo affixture, and bike load. Moreover, it has been recently serviced at the 5000 mile mark (it’s currently 6000 miles or environs), comes with heated grips, lowered seating that can accomodate both shorter and taller riders (I am 6’0).

More interestingly, it has been affixed with comprehensive LED afterglow lights. These enhance nighttime visibility for additional safety, as well as being customizable to your preferred color.

This is a very dear bike to me, and I am somewhat loathe to let it go. However, I am leaving the country. That said, I will do full disclosure of why you should not buy this bike:

-Cargo latch of cargo seat is repaired, hence not stock.
-Tank bag has a small puncture through its transparent map compartment. The tank bag is $300.
-Engine regearing lowers acceleration from 0-60 mph from around 5.5 seconds to 6.5 seconds. Further regearing can cost $500-1000.
-Bike is dirt capable, but lacks mods for dirt riding.
