Honda VALKYRIE Description
2nd owner, 2003 Honda Valkyrie GL1500CD. Black/chrome, with 119K miles. First owner (late) took very good care of this motorcycle, and I have his detailed notes. Work previous owner has done: *changed timing belt at 100K miles *changed drive shaft at approx. same mileage. Work I’ve done to it: *new spark plugs *new battery late last year *rebuilt forks *flushed front brake/clutch lines *new front brake handle *new choke cable *new windshield *oil changed Spring of 2021 Things this bike will need: *tires *carb rebuild/synchronization–the engine runs great, and starts right up cold; but this may be something on account of age/high mileage, should be done *new petcock–I replaced it in 2020, but already needs another one because I’ve forgotten to change over the petcock after driving away. XD The petcock is a known weak point for the Valk. A couple of light scratches on the fuel tank when I changed the petcock. Engine burns no oil, and runs and drives great. Those who are familiar with the Valk, know that when well maintained, can go up to 200k miles, or a bit more. Asking $2250, down from $3500 earlier. I’m negotiable.
