Moto Guzzi’ California Classic rare “Aquila Nera” trim with modded chrome fenders and aftermarket exhaust.Mechanically sound and roadworthy with about 13,000 miles and good Metzeler tires with thick tread.1064-cc big block V-Twin engine, transversely mounted, rated at 73 HP with 69.4 lb-feet torque. C.A.R.C. shaft drive, five-speed clutch.45 mm Marzocchi up front and swing-arm with two hydraulic shocks (adjustable) in back.Low seat, low center of gravity makes this a rather sporty bike on twisty roads, and an agile lane-splitter for commutes. NEEDS: odometer/speedometer cable, which, much like the Italian work force, tends to take long vacations. (So the bike probably has seen about 13,000 miles.)The rear brake pedal is a bit soft by itself – mechanic suggests replacing the hose from the rear master cylinder (already replaced) or rebuilding the rear caliper. The 320 mm, four-piston Brembos up front grab firmly.At 11 years of age, there is some oxidation on some of the chrome, a couple stains on one exhaust pipe, and sporadic rust on bolt heads and other small parts here and there.
