Used 2005 BMW R 1200 ST Sport Touring Motorcycle

2005 BMW R 1200 ST, The R Series bikes and their legendary boxer twin have been such a versatile, proven and reliable platform over the years that BMW has experimented with adapting it to create bikes to fit into nearly every motorcycling category you can think of. Cruisers, cruiser/tourers, sport tourers, long distance tourers, adventure tourers, standards, roadsters, race bikes…the list goes on. This one, the ST, was a sport tourer with the emphasis tailored toward the sport side, and it's styling is very unique. This model was only imported and sold in the USA for a few years, making it one of the more rare Beemers from this timeframe. This one has good miles, has been recently serviced with fluids, new battery and had the fuel tank sending unit (known to be an issue on this vintage) and fork seals replaced, so it needs nothing and is ready to ride. Previous owner made some modifications to make it more comfortable for longer rides as this bike was known to sit very aggressively, so he had put dropped rider pegs on and replaced the clip on bars with an ABM triple tree, Rox risers and a Spiegler handlebar which all help give it a more upright riding position.
