Used 1967 Triumph Tiger T100C Classic / Vintage Motorcycle

The Edward Turner designed Speed Twin was released by Triumph in 1938 followed in 1939 by the Tiger 100. Both were 500 CC parallel twin machines, but the Tiger was lighter and faster. WWII intervened in Triumph’s production and the factory was bombed into rubble. Civilian production of the Tiger resumed in 1947.

Though the Bonneville would outsell the T100 during the 60s the Tiger was very important to the Triumph racing division. The AMA limited overhead valve motors to 500 CC until 1969 and the Tiger fit that bill.

1967 saw the entire Tiger line receive a lighter and stronger frame. ‘67 was the first year for the twin carb ‘Daytona’ variant joining the ‘C’ and ‘T’ models in the US market. The C model was most easily identified by the twin high pipes on the left hand side.

The 1967 Triumph Tiger T100 C used a 490 CC air cooled four stroke overhead valve parallel twin motor that made 41 HP coupled with a 4 speed transmission for a top speed of 105 MPH. Front telescopic forks, rear coil over shocks with drum brakes on both ends and a total wet weight of 371 LBS completed the package.

This particular 1967 Triumph Tiger T100 C was restored by Triumph specialist Ian Kennedy at Georgia Cycle Depot in 2002. We have invoices totaling over $12,000 for the extensive restoration and complete mechanical overhaul. We acquired this motorcycle from the man who commissioned the restoration, it was part of his collection and only ridden on special occasions. She runs and rides like a new motorcycle.
